Carmelite Days 2018

The Carmelite Days are days of reflection to share the core aspects of our Carmelite heritage. These days are held on Wednesdays, beginning at 10:30 am and finishing at 4:00 pm. There will be a talk followed by prayers and time for recollection. Soup lunch will be provided.


May 30     Blessed Marie-Eugene Grialou OCD - Carmel's most recent saint. 

"I belong to the Church, so deeply to the Church because I belong to Carmel." We will explore Marie Eugene's life and teaching. Led by Fr Matt Blake OCD


June 27     What makes Carmel so distinctive and beautiful. Led by Gillian Coxhead


July 25       The beauty of God in St John of the Cross. Led by Barbara Thacker OCDS


August 29   In the steps of St Teresa at the Incarnation and beyond. Led by Chantal Haigh OCDS


September 26    The challenge of contemplation: Reflecting on the carmelite Martyrs of the French Revolution. Led by Deborah Hawley OCDS and Cyprian Blamires OCDS


October 31    Healing addiction.

A day of reflection on the addictive culture that we live in and how the Gospel of Jesus meets this problem for our time. Led by Fr Liam Finnerty OCD
