Carmelite Days/Carmelite Days for Everyone 2019

(They are now known as Carmelite Days for Everyone, because it is for everyone, Carmelites and non-Carmelites.)

The Carmelite Days are days of reflection to share the core aspects of our Carmelite heritage. These days are held on Wednesdays, beginning at 10:30 am and finishing at 4 pm. There will be a talk followed by prayers and time for recollection. A soup lunch will be provided. 

May 29       "On a Dark Night"  - Led by Fr Matt Blake, OCD

Reflections on what John of the Cross means by the term "Dark Night", why it is so central to his teacing and why a true understanding of the term is vital for our own spiritual experience and progress. 

June 26      "Mysterious Words of Love" - Led by Gillian Coxhead

Meditations on Teresa's meditations on the Song of Songs.

July 24        Insights from "The Impact of God" - Led by Fr Liam Finnerty, OCD

September 25     "Mary: Mystic Rose, Ark of the Covenant" - Led by Cyprian Blamires, OCDS and Deborah Hawley, OCDS

November 13      Teresa, an Adventure in Prayer: Walking with Teresa through her life and works - Led by Barbara Thacker, OCDS
